Rounded release and first seams
Abstract
Ascending reserve arithmetic
For positive A, E>=2A and E<=S<=2E+2A, releasing ell=ceilpos((S-2E+A)/A) low U units gives ell<=3 and E<=S-A*ell<=2E-A. In the nonconstant ascending dyadic sector, the first reserve is 3A. The V stage either uses no reserve when Z=T, rounds on the previous even reserve grid in the wide case, or uses mask one at T=R, Z=2R. The adjacent case retains its exact polynomial inequalities rather than a stricter grid hypothesis.
