Factorial Polynomial Fock Metric
Abstract
The arbitrary-variable factorial polynomial Fock metric and creation-derivative pairing.
This module constructs a factorial Hermitian form on arbitrary-variable polynomials and proves the creation/derivative pairing. Scoped compilation, axiom closure and registration assessment are separate evidence from content admission, freeze and CI. The retained statements and 31 normalized declaration bodies come from the sealed 402-line supplier; inner_monomial_left has the disclosed direct repr_self proof edit. The supplier is TransientFactorialFockMetric.lean, SHA-256 0e0b1086fd2edacbc9ef87ddc2f9e105d48f0c61820e88f1e1e72a1a1a82a2a1. The supplier credits its coefficient-embedding architecture to ActualHalfFockHilbertSource; this task reads only the designated generic supplier and imports no transient application.
The factorial normalization is classical symmetric/Bargmann Fock normalization, not a literature novelty claim. AssessedProvenance.FromRepo below refers to the transported formal proof source and its Mathlib reuse, not authorship of the classical normalization. No external literature search was authorized here. Mathlib supplies monomial bases, basis rescaling, partial derivatives, finite-support products and the standard l2 Hilbert basis.
The retained substantive theorem is the all-polynomial creation/derivative pairing. Other retained theorem declarations organize its proof or the positive Core construction and have exact current source consumers; they are not claimed as separate new mathematical results. Unused applications, forwarding aliases and boundary checks are absent from this canonical module.

The source constructs an actual InnerProductSpace.Core Complex on the exact polynomial carrier using induced inner-product infrastructure and proves definiteness by embedding injectivity. Source. Repository-derived.
Commentary.
For every d,a,q, the form on monomial(d,a) and q is weight(d)*conj(a)*coeff(d,q). The proof computes the actual Hilbert-basis coordinate directly with repr_self and removes the two square-root scales. This consumed helper retains arbitrary q and arbitrary complex a.
Theorem 1.32 (Creation and derivative on all polynomials).
Lean statement: D5/S3/VertexAlgebra/FactorialFockMetric.mul_X_pderiv_pairing
Proof. Machine-checked in Lean as D5/S3/VertexAlgebra/FactorialFockMetric.mul_X_pderiv_pairing (✓ std3). ∎
Source. Repository-derived.
Commentary.
For every sigma, i:sigma and arbitrary polynomials p,q, inner(X(i)*p,q)=inner(p,pderiv(i,q)). The supplier proof uses polynomial induction in p; its monomial branch uses the exact factorial shift recurrence and pinned MvPolynomial.coeff_pderiv. No desired pairing or positivity statement appears as a hypothesis.
For reuse with the existing original polynomial VOA carrier, specialize sigma to Nat; for finite-colour half modes one may instead use a colour-times-mode type. That substitution only identifies the polynomial carrier. PolynomialFockSugawaraSupport defines annihilate(k)=(k+1)*pderiv(k), while this metric pairs bare X(k) with bare pderiv(k): the mode factor k+1 must still be reconciled by a justified coordinate rescaling or a different mode-weighted metric. There is no current, Virasoro, ground or charged unitarity conclusion here. No maximal analytic adjoint, completion/density theorem, convergence statement, Monster construction, full string theory, spacetime dynamics, or AdS/CFT result is asserted.
