Original absolute zero-momentum BRST cohomology and native ghost grades

Abstract

Original absolute zero-momentum BRST cohomology and native ghost grades

Let D be arbitrary LatticeData, including rank zero. H is indexed by Fin D.rank and satisfies H * gramComplex D = 1 and gramComplex D * H = 1. These are the only matrix hypotheses. Every operator below is the original tensor operator. No rank 26, signature, positivity, frame or nonzero momentum hypothesis occurs.

The absolute sector E0 is literally fixedMomentum D 0 intersect ker(totalL0 D H), where totalL0 is the original unshifted matter-plus-ghost zero mode. No b0 condition is imposed on E0. The original zero-mode CAR give x = b0 c0 x + c0 b0 x on all states. Pure ghost operators preserve the original charge support, and the original L0 commutes with b0 and c0. Consequently both b0 c0 x and b0 x lie in the full original relative zero-momentum shell whenever x lies in E0.

The supplier shellEquiv is applied only after this exhaustive original-state splitting. Its inverse Psi(A,v,C) is the original ground tensor empty occupation, the original frequency-zero currents tensor occupation {1}, and the original ground tensor occupation {1,5}, with the indicated coefficients. Thus every absolute state uniquely has the form Psi z + c0(Psi w). This equivalence is proved from the actual constraints, rather than assumed as the definition of the complex.

The actual finite ghost calculation uses the supplier all-integer R sum and its proved odd-occupation annihilation tail. At r=0 only p=-1,0,1 remain on these occupations. Both nonzero-index terms give plus ket {1,5} on the empty occupation; the zero term is zero. R0 therefore sends Psi(A,v,C) to Psi(0,0,2A), and annihilates the other two branches. The actual Ward identity {Q,c0}=R0 and the original relative-shell Q=0 then give Q(Psi z+c0 Psi w)=Psi(0,0,2w.A).

Q0 is defined by restricting the original totalCharge to E0, after proving preservation. Its square is zero at every rank because the computed original image lies in the original relative shell and Q vanishes there. This restricted statement makes no assertion about ambient noncritical Q squared.

Cycles are the actual kernel of Q0. In the unique split coordinates the cycle condition is w.A=0. The actual original image consists exactly of z.A=z.v=0 and w=0. A state with only z.C nonzero has the genuine boundary primitive c0 Psi(z.C/2,0,0). Boundaries are the actual range of the incoming Q0 map into its actual kernel. The first isomorphism theorem applies to the proved boundary/kernel equality for the class map, yielding Complex x ((Complex^rank) x ((Complex^rank) x Complex)). Canonical original representatives set z.C=w.A=0.

Native ghost number is exactly LatticeMatterGhostDegree.tensorNumber, relative to the original SL2 vacuum of grade zero. The actual c0 raises it by one. On a split state the six coordinate blocks have degrees 0,1,2,1,2,3. Homogeneous cycles are the actual Q0 kernel intersected with the actual number eigenspace at each integer q. Incoming boundaries are images of actual Q0 from the eigenspace of degree q-1, rather than an assigned coordinate differential or an intersection with an ungraded image.

The reverse graded boundary/kernel inclusion constructs the same primitive with w.A=z.C/2 and proves that it is homogeneous of degree q-1 from the original number equations. The quotient therefore has original canonical homogeneous representatives. In grades 0,1,2,3 it is linearly equivalent to Complex, Complex^rank, Complex^rank, Complex respectively. Every other integer grade is zero. The finrank formula is derived from these quotient equivalences and includes rank zero without a separate assumption.

The shell and finite-tail identities come from LatticeZeroMomentumBRST; the zero-mode CAR and projectors come from LatticeBRSTRelativeZeroMode. LatticeBRSTWard and LatticeMatterGhostDegree supply the original Ward and number identities. Their definitions and proofs retain their authorship. Mathlib supplies quotient, eigenspace and dimension machinery under Apache 2.0. This algebraic computation establishes neither an ambient signed pairing nor positivity or signature.

Lean statement: D5/S3/VertexAlgebra/Lattice/LatticeOriginalAbsoluteZeroCohomology.gradedCycles_addCommGroup

Formalization. D5/S3/VertexAlgebra/Lattice/LatticeOriginalAbsoluteZeroCohomology.gradedCycles_addCommGroup (✓ std3).

Source. Repository-derived.

Commentary.

Each actual homogeneous original cycle subspace inherits its canonical additive group, consumed by the incoming-image quotient.

Theorem 1.66 (native_finrank).

Lean statement: D5/S3/VertexAlgebra/Lattice/LatticeOriginalAbsoluteZeroCohomology.native_finrank

Proof. Machine-checked in Lean as D5/S3/VertexAlgebra/Lattice/LatticeOriginalAbsoluteZeroCohomology.native_finrank (✓ std3). ∎

Source. Repository-derived.

Commentary.

The entire integer grading, including arbitrary rank zero, is derived from the original homogeneous kernel and incoming-image quotients.
