claim: The Schatten-p limit question remains open in general, and Theorem 3.7 proves it when min(m,n) is at most two.

Scope

Linear Algebra and its Applications 743, 102–122; arXiv:2603.07498v2. Equation (5) restates the Schatten-p convergence question. Theorem 3.7 establishes the case min(m,n) ≤ 2. Remark 3.8 concerns an auxiliary residual choice. The three-dimensional refutation does not alter that theorem.
