Statement

The model is the precessing point-vortex system (Section 2, Eqs. (1)–(2), with ) Section 4.1 takes alternating charges at ; Lemma 4.2 gives the equilibrium with for even . The paper states:

Conjecture 4.4. For , the -gon has distinct pairs of real eigenvalues.

Encoding and boundary

The repository defines the vector field of Eqs. (1)–(2) with and , the regular unit -gon and the Jacobian matrix of partial derivatives at it. It proves that for , , the nonzero real eigenvalues are exactly , , and that these values are distinct. The Gross–Pitaevskii PDE stability, odd , other charge patterns, eigenvectors and Krein signatures are outside this conclusion.
