Maximal mutual correlation: an algebraic measure of correlations in bipartite quantum systems

Lech Jakóbczyk, arXiv:1607.06585v1 (quant-ph), 2016. Quotations are from the v1 TeX source.

The statement (abstract):

In the states containing some quantum correlations, maximal mutual correlation is always greater or equal to geometric measure of quantum discord. This relation is proved to be valid in the class of Bell - diagonal states and it is conjectured that is also true for general two - qubit states.

The trace-norm geometric discord:

D_{1}(\ro)=\min\limits_{\PP^{\cA}},||\ro-\PP^{\cA}(\ro)||_{1},

where is the projective measurement on subsystem i.e. \PP^{\cA}(\ro)=\sum\limits_{k}(P_{k}\otimes \I),\ro,(P_{k}\otimes \I).
