The Problem of Hidden Variables in Quantum Mechanics
Simon Kochen and Ernst P. Specker establish the contextual hidden-variable
obstruction now bearing their names. This note is retained only to delimit the
nearby literature: the repository’s qubit theorem concerns a unital global
complex-algebra homomorphism on all of M_2(C), which is not a
Kochen-Specker valuation on projections.
In particular, this source is not used as direct attestation that qubit projection valuations are impossible. The selected residual’s Kochen-Specker, CHSH, hidden-address, and probability-interpretation claims all remain unresolved.
